Thailand
Peter had a DS23 in Germany and missed it so much that he found another one in
Thailand, where he now resides. When I last saw it in July, 2006, the engine was under
repair in the hands of Martin, the almighty mechanic from Switzerland.
The car is a 1974 carburetor DS23 Pallas, but the engine is not the original. The three
vertical vents on each side are supposed to help the heat escape from the engine room,
and were copied on Pascal's car.
Above left: interesting bamboo-based handicraft holding the roof lining in place.
Below: the car back in 2003, when the engine was being replaced.

Below: the car was spotted again by Didier B. last September 2007, parked in the street
in the Jomtien area near Pattaya.
Update ! Early 2008, Peter tells me the restoration work is completed, and he sends the
pictures below. Now look at the colour of the sea ! It just can't be Pattaya.
